Visit to Hampton Court Palace

 

Friday, 15th November

 

We are looking forward to this exciting trip on Friday. Many thanks to you all for returning your permission slips and payments. Our schedule for the trip is a follows:-

6.45am All children to arrive promptly ready for Registration

(Please enter via the courtyard entrance by the School Office, a member of the Year 5 and 6 team will to let you in. Report to the school hall for registration.)

7am Coach to depart promptly for Hampton Court.

(We will be unable to wait for any latecomers. If your child arrives after this time please report to the School Office at 8.30am and they will ensure the group of children staying at school. Should your child miss the coach we will be unable to make any refunds.)

11.45am Arrive at Hampton Court Palace.

4.45pm Depart Hampton Court Palace.

8.55pm Anticipated arrival at Orchard Vale.

Please arrange to be at Orchard Vale in order to collect your child.


Children will need to wear their School uniform, sensible shoes and a coat. They will also need a packed lunch (with extra food as it is a long day) and plenty of drink, preferably in a small rucksack as they will have to carry this with them during the day.

If your child is entitled to Free School Meals and you have booked a packed lunch this will be given to them during registration. However, please provide them with extra food and a drink for the evening.

The children may wish to bring a book/magazine, card game or other similar items to entertain themselves on the journey.

Children must not bring any electronic games, mobile phones, cameras or sweets. We will not have an opportunity to visit a shop so please do not send your child with any money.

If your child is likely to require travel sickness tablets for the journey please ensure you give this to them in the morning before leaving home. For the return trip please make sure you complete a Medical Form, which you can get from the School Office, and hand this to your class teacher prior to departure. If your child requires asthma medication could you please ensure this is up-to-date and in school with the correct completed medical forms.

In the event of any delay in our return time we will let the school office know and our emergency contact will pass this information on to parents via a text on our school management system.
