Uniform
Children are strongly encouraged to wear school uniform and to take a pride in looking smart.
Orchard Vale Community School uniform is practical and affordable. It is not a rigid set of clothes but an adherence to a colour scheme. This is, in the main - navy and deep yellow/gold.
Boys: Main Uniform
- Smart navy trousers
- Yellow polo shirt
- School sweatshirt or Navy jumper/cardigan - this can be the school logo or plain
- Dark practical shoes (not trainers)
Girls: Main Uniform
- Smart Navy trousers
- Navy skirt, pinafore, culottes – style is your choice – smart and practical
- Yellow polo shirt
- School sweatshirt or Navy jumper/cardigan - this can be the school logo or plain
- Dark practical shoes (no high heels or trainers please)

Lost property is a constant struggle we cannot be responsible for your child’s belongings if they are unmarked. You can imagine how difficult it is trying to reunite one jumper or polo shirt with its owner when it is identical to many others!
Lost property can be found outside the main office.
Jewellery
In the interests of Health and Safety, no jewellery should be worn to school, except for earring studs, which may be worn conventionally, one in each ear. No responsibility will be accepted for any losses, for example, wrist watches.

Pre-loved school uniform
We are aware that the pandemic has had an impact on the income of some of our families.
We have a large amount of pre-loved uniform, coats, trainers and shoes just waiting to be rehomed.
