Meeting with Councillor Matthews

We also passed on concerns about parking outside the school and cars speeding along Westacott Road and Whiddon Drive.

Assemblies

The School Council and Little Peoples’ Council have made giant stars to give out each week in assembly for the tidiest cloakrooms in KS1 and KS2.

We have already been working hard to make Orchard Vale more Eco friendly.

KS1 have been recyling their fruit waste by turning it into compost. They have also been making sure the teachers are being eco friendly by turning off lights and computers when leaving the room.

KS2 have been emptying the paper bins upstairs to ensure our waste paper is recycled. They have also been helping the little ones with emptying the compost bins.

What we raise money for….

  • Charities such as Children in Need, Comic Relief and The Children’s Hospice, South West
  • The School (equipment or activities)
  • Forest School

The money raised from our movie night has been split so that we are giving £148.80 to forest school and £80 for the Easter Fun Day planned for the end of term. This year Orchard Vale has big plans for the Forest School area and we are hoping to help considerably to make these plans a reality.
