Year 6 and Reception National Child Measurements

Each year in England, children in Reception and Year 6 have their height and weight measured at school as part of the National Child Measurement Programme. This is to help Public Health Devon to understand trends in children’s weight over time and help with planning services for families and children throughout the region.

If parents wish to opt their child out of taking part they must have completed the online form by  Friday, 19th December 2025.
