Paignton Zoo Residential – Monday, 12th June to Friday, 16th June
We are sure the children are very excited now that the residential is nearly upon us. Just a reminder that we would like you to bring the children directly to the school hall with their luggage no earlier than 8.30am on Monday, 12th June, prior to boarding the coach, they do not need to go to class registration.
We will be returning to school at approximately 2.45pm on Friday, 16th June. Please make sure there is someone available to collect your child as they will be tired and looking forward to seeing you. Should our time of arrival change we will contact you via Parentmail. Please make sure we have your up to date contact details.
Please note any medication your child may need to take (including travel sickness tablets) must be handed to Mrs Butler/School Office by Wednesday, 7th June. This should be clearly labelled and in the original packaging, with the appropriate Medical Form in order for us to complete the appropriate paperwork prior to departure.
If your child is registered as asthmatic with us please could you ensure the medication held in school is up to date and that we have a spare inhaler for the week.
We suggest that you allow your child no more than £10 spending money. Please ensure this is handed to a member of staff on arrival in the School Hall. The children will be able to visit to Zoo shop on Friday, prior to returning to school.
Children will have plenty to eat throughout the week. If you would like your child to have a small bag of sweets, as a treat for the week, this must be handed to a member of staff on your arrival in the school hall. These will be looked after by the staff and given to children at intervals throughout the week. Please note food is not allowed in the hotel bedrooms.
It is our policy that children will not phone home during the week. However, if you need to contact your child on an urgent matter, you can to this via the school office during the day and they will pass a message on to staff or the hotel. The school number is 01271 375074. If necessary, a member of the residential staff/emergency contact staff will contact you. Please could you ensure that we have your up to date contact details.
Please do not send your child with a mobile phone or electronic devices.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Butler or myself.
