Live Web Chat for Antarctic Week

Antarctic Week

Wednesday, 4th December 2019

On Wednesday, a group of STEM enthusiasts from years 4-6 were chosen to take part in a live web chat with a polar scientist.

The scientist's name was Julien Bodart, who is currently studying the Thwaites Glacier in Antarcitca, invstigating how the glacier is retreating and how this connects to rising sea levels.

Julien was very impressed with the questions the children had prepared; he could see they had researched them thoroughly.  It was such a fantastic opportunity for the children to be inspired by someone working within STEM subjects.

Any one of them may be a scientist of the future!
