Heatree Residential 2018 - Years 3 and 4

23rd April 2018

18th April 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians

Heatree Activity Centre Residential – 23rd to 25th April

We are sure the children are very excited now that the residential is nearly upon us.  Just a reminder that we would like you to bring the children directly to the school hall with their luggage no earlier than 8.30am on Monday, 23rd April, prior to boarding the coach, they do not need to go to class registration.

Our first activity is Bushcraft and the children will need to arrive at school wearing the clothes they will wear for this activity with a coat and appropriate footwear to hand.  We will not be able to access our luggage until the evening.

We will be returning to school at approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday, 25th May.  Please make sure there is someone available to collect your child from the coach as they will be tired and looking forward to seeing you.

Medication

Please note that any medication required to be taken by your child (including travel sickness tablets) should be clearly labelled and handed to the school office, in the original packaging with the appropriate Medical Form, by Friday, 20th April in order for us to complete the appropriate paperwork prior to departure.

If your child is registered as asthmatic with us please could you ensure the medication held in school is up to date and that we have a spare inhaler for the residential.

Packed Lunch

Please could you supply your child with a packed lunch in a lunch box and a drinks bottle in a small backpack.

Contact

It is our policy that children will not phone home during the week.  However, if you need to contact your child on an urgent matter, please call the school office during the day and they will pass a message on to staff.  The school number is 01271 375074.  If necessary a member of the residential staff/emergency contact staff will contact you.  Don’t forget to keep track of how the children are doing via our Twitter page @OVPrimary which staff should update daily.

Please do not send your child with a mobile phone or any electronic devices. A copy of the kit list can be found overleaf.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Butler or myself.
